The new season is now well under way and despite the unseasonably dry weather, our horses have been running well. It has been difficult planning where to go as the ground has been far too dry but there has been a few standout performances such as One Touch who had a very encouraging debut at Chepstow on the 14th of October when finishing 4th in very competitive bumper. He will now head to Cheltenham on Sunday for the listed bumper.
Another bumper horse to run really well was Voila Eric who finished 3rd at 33/1 on his first run after a year off following having surgery over the summer for colic.
Some Chaos has been 2/2 over fences since joining the yard back in the summer. The 7 year old son of Brian Boru has put in two very good performances and looks very exciting horse for the future. Both of his wins came on good ground which he seems to enjoy and he has been the one to benefit from the dry conditions.
Justice Knight made a good start this season when finishing second at Market Rasen on the 8th of November. He is not the easiest at home or on the track at times so well done to everyone involved for getting him here.
Issac Wonder was another one running well on his hurdling debut when finishing 2nd at Warwick. This is a nice juvenile who will only improve with experience and we are looking forward to juvenile campaign with him.
The Sunday the 11th we took three down to Ffos Las. The heavy ground there made sure there was a plenty of runners as everyone went in search for soft ground so it ended up being very competitive racing. Smiths Cross had his first start over hurdles and made very encouraging start when finishing nice 2nd. Court Master also had his first run over hurdles he finished 4th after the heavy ground took the best out of him but he is a very nice horse who has a bright future in front of him.
We have had 6 winners over jumps and 2 on flat so far which already puts us ahead of where we were this time last season. We have plenty of entries at the weekend so hopefully we can have a bit of luck!!
