The new season is just around the corner and we can’t wait! Its been a great few weeks with the horses that have been running doing really well with wins from Lawmaking and Isaac wonder. The other big news has been the completion of our 2 furlong deep sand round gallop to add to our training facilities. this was finished on wednesday so has been great to get horses on there this last week. This will be a massive asset to us and will work brilliantly alongside our 4 furlong up hill woodchip gallop which was fully re laid over the summer as well as our grass gallops. Our schooling ring was also re laid but instead of sand we have now put down a chopped carpet surface which has settled down very well and is a fantastic surface to jump off. So there have been lots of improvements done over the summer all to allow us to get the best out of the horses that we have in training, we are very excited by the horses we have in this year so fingers crossed for a good season!!
Caderyn and gabby one of the first horses to go on the sand gallop under the watchful eye of spud! It has taken a lot of time and work to put in and looks fantastic situated at the top of the gallops with easy access back onto the woodchip. it will be circled off with white rails and the surounding area has all been seeded but as you can see the views are spectacular!
Isaac Wonder wonder and Brendan Powell being lead back in to the winners enclosure by Bella. Issac put on a great performance by a four year old to win for the first time over fences at Warwick 24.09.19. This follows on from his second at sedgefield on his first run this season where he over jumped the fourth last and slid on landing, he went on to only be beaten a length so was great to gain some compensation for that. This was Brendans first winner since agreeing to ride all Lynne Maclennans horses, so hopefully a sign of things to come this season.
Lawmaking won at Chelmsford on the 4th september, over 1m. Looked after and ridden every day by Gabby this was lawmakings first run since a wind op, he had been running very consistently all season but had just been unable to get his head in front. He won here off a mark off 82 for owner Marchwood Aggregates, hopefully he can improve agian from here with the help of the wind opoeration. He was ridden by liam keniry just like in his other two wins for us.
